DESCRIPTION

The Buick Rendezvous was GM's answer to a question nobody asked in 2002: what if you took a minivan, gave it SUV styling cues, and slapped a Buick badge on it? The result is one of the most forgettable vehicles of the early 2000s — and that's exactly why it's interesting. This is early-2000s GM at peak appliance: plastic cladding, beige interior, and a 3.4L V6 that'll run forever because it doesn't have enough power to break itself. The Rendezvous was Buick's first crossover, and it paved the way for everything Buick makes today. This one's a project or a parts car — she's been through it — but the drivetrain alone is worth the asking price. Buy her for the engine, strip the interior for a van build, or fix her up and have the most unironic daily driver in the parking lot. The best thing about a Rendezvous is nobody will ever ask you about it.
