DESCRIPTION
INTRO
Listen up, dreamers and wrench-turners. What we have here is a 1966 Ford Mustang Coupe that's been sitting long enough to grow its own ecosystem. It's a genuine barn find, complete with the kind of honest patina you can't fake. The seller says it needs a new home, and they aren't kidding. It's got the original motor and automatic transmission, and the odometer shows 60,000 miles, but let's be real—this pony needs a lot of love before it rides again.
EXTERIOR
The body is a canvas of rust and faded white paint. It's got that classic '66 coupe silhouette, but the surface rust is extensive, eating into the panels and giving it a rugged, weathered look. The glass appears mostly intact, but the chrome trim is pitted and tired. You're looking at a major metalwork project here, folks. It's a survivor, but barely.
INTERIOR
Inside, it's a time capsule of neglect. The black standard bucket seats are still there, but they've seen better days. The dash is dusty, the steering wheel is cracked, and the floor pans are rusted through—though the seller notes they have new floor pans waiting in the garage. The gauges are cloudy, and the whole cabin smells like history and old vinyl. It's a complete gut job, but the bones are there.
UNDERCARRIAGE
Underneath, it's exactly what you'd expect from a car that's been sitting outside. The frame and suspension components are heavily rusted. The floor pans are shot, as mentioned, and the exhaust system is likely toast. You'll be spending a lot of time on your back with a grinder and a welder to get this chassis roadworthy again.
ENGINE
Pop the hood, and you'll find the original 200 ci inline-6 engine sitting in a bay that's seen better days. It's covered in grime and rust, with wires and hoses looking brittle and tired. The seller states it has the original motor and automatic transmission, but it's clearly a non-runner right now. The radiator is sitting in the trunk, which tells you everything you need to know about its current state. Expect a full rebuild.
