DESCRIPTION

THE LOWDOWN

Listen up, cats and kittens. What we have here is a 1966 Cadillac Sedan de Ville, a true survivor from the era when Detroit ruled the world and luxury meant something. This four-door hardtop is a rolling testament to mid-century excess, currently wearing a pale cream finish topped by a dark vinyl roof. It's a project, sure, but it's got the bones of a king. If you're looking for a weekend cruiser that commands respect, this is your ticket to ride.

EXTERIOR

The exterior of this Caddy is a mixed bag of classic charm and undeniable patina. The pale cream paint shows its age, with some rust spots and a noticeable dent on the trunk lid. The dark vinyl roof adds a touch of class, though it might need some attention down the line. Signature 1966 elements are present, such as the stacked vertical headlights and parking lights integrated into the grille. The chrome trim and bumpers are mostly intact but could use a good polish to bring back that showroom shine.

INTERIOR

Step inside, and you're transported back to 1966. The cabin retains its factory 3-spoke luxury steering wheel and sweeping horizontal speedometer. The original-style cloth-and-vinyl bench seats are dark-toned and show some wear, but they're still plush enough for a cross-country trip. The door panels feature intricate detailing, complete with power window switches and the classic Cadillac crest. The dash is mostly complete, though the radio and some trim pieces might need a little TLC.

UNDERCARRIAGE

We don't have any shots of the underbelly, so you're flying blind here. Expect the usual surface rust and maybe some crusty floor pans, given the car's age and current state. The suspension and brakes are likely original, meaning you'll want to go through them before hitting the highway. It's a heavy beast, so make sure those drum brakes are up to the task.

ENGINE

No engine pics, but if it's still packing its original heart, you're looking at a 429 cubic inch V8 mated to a 3-speed automatic transmission. This setup was good for 340 horsepower back in the day, enough to move this land yacht with authority. We can't speak to its current running condition, so assume it needs a full tune-up, fluid flush, and maybe some wiring work to get it purring again.
