1965 Chevrolet El Camino

The El Camino is the answer to a question nobody asked — and somehow it became one of the coolest vehicles GM ever built. Half car, half truck, all style. This '65 is the second-generation body, sharing its bones with the Chevelle, and she's got the kind of stance that looks right no matter what you do with her. The photos tell the story — she's been through it, but the bones are there. The body lines are straight, the bed's intact, and that long, sloping hood is begging for a small block with some attitude.

EXTERIOR

This '65 El Camino wears a silver paint job with bold black racing stripes down the hood and tailgate. The body looks relatively straight, though there are some signs of wear and tear you'd expect from a driver. The chrome bumpers and trim are present and shine up decently, but they aren't perfect. It's sitting on a set of large, modern aftermarket multi-spoke wheels that give it a custom stance. INTERIOR

ENGINE

Pop the hood and you'll find a Chevrolet small block V8 sitting in the engine bay. It's dressed up with some chrome valve covers and an aftermarket air cleaner. There's a shiny new aluminum radiator up front to keep things cool. The engine bay itself is a bit dusty and shows signs of use, but it looks like a solid runner. We can't confirm the exact displacement or transmission from the photos, but it's got the right look for a classic cruiser.

MODIFICATIONS

This El Camino isn't exactly stock. The most obvious changes are the large aftermarket wheels and the custom silver and black paint scheme.
