DESCRIPTION

INTRO

Pull up a milk crate and take a long look at this one. While Kevin is over there loudly complaining to anyone who will listen about how Toby won't just hand him the keys to a classic, this ’52 Chevy 3600 is patiently waiting for someone with enough grit to wake her up. This isn't some light-duty grocery getter. This is an Advance Design heavy-hitter. A three-quarter-ton piece of post-war iron built to haul timber, steel, and whatever else you can throw at it.

EXTERIOR

The exterior is a masterclass in earned patina. The white paint is peeling back to reveal layers of history, rust, and dark primer underneath. The body shows its age with dents, dings, and surface rust throughout. The glass is shattered on the driver's side, and the chrome trim is pitted and faded. The bed has a wooden floor that looks like it's seen better days, and the tailgate features a GMC stamp, hinting at a past swap or repair.

INTERIOR

Inside, it's a time capsule of neglect. The bench seat is torn to shreds, exposing the springs and stuffing beneath the gray herringbone upholstery. The dashboard is stripped down, with missing gauges and a steering wheel that's seen decades of gripping. The floor is covered in dirt and debris, and the door panels are bare metal. It's a blank canvas for a full restoration.

UNDERCARRIAGE

We don't have photos of the undercarriage, but given the topside condition, expect a healthy dose of surface rust and potential rot. The frame and suspension will need a thorough inspection before any serious driving is considered. Brakes and exhaust are likely original and in need of complete replacement.

ENGINE

There are no photos of the engine bay, so what lies beneath the hood is a mystery. It could be the original inline-six, or it could be an empty cavern waiting for a modern V8 swap. Assume it needs a full mechanical overhaul, from the engine block to the transmission and drivetrain. Fluids and wiring are undoubtedly shot.

MODIFICATIONS

The most obvious modification is the GMC tailgate on a Chevrolet truck. It's a classic junkyard fix that adds to the truck's outlaw charm. The bed floor also appears to have been replaced or modified at some point, though it's currently in rough shape.
