DESCRIPTION

This ’41 Chevy didn’t survive eighty years and a world war just to fade away in the New Mexico sun. She’s sitting out here in the dust, wearing a heavy coat of honest patina over what used to be factory paint. She’s ugly now, but she’ll break hearts when you’re done.

EXTERIOR

The body is a canvas of rust, dents, and faded silver paint. The hood is misaligned, and the front grille shows its age with missing pieces and surface rust. The glass is cracked, and the chrome trim is either missing or heavily pitted. The bed is currently serving as a storage unit for spare parts and tires.

INTERIOR

The cabin is a time capsule of neglect. The bench seat is spilling its guts, with torn upholstery revealing the foam beneath. The dashboard is stripped down, missing gauges and trim pieces. The steering wheel is cracked and worn, and the floorboards have seen more muddy boots than a county fair.

UNDERCARRIAGE

While not explicitly shown, you can bet the frame and floor pans have their share of surface rust and potential rot. The suspension and brakes will need a complete overhaul. Expect to replace the exhaust system entirely.

ENGINE

The engine bay isn't pictured, but these trucks originally came with a 216 cu in inline-6. Whether it's still there or swapped out for a 235 is a mystery until you pop the hood. The transmission is a manual, likely a 3- or 4-speed, but its condition is unknown. Assume it needs a full rebuild.
