DESCRIPTION
What we have here isn't some fragile, matching-numbers museum piece that'll make you cry when a pebble hits the fender. This is a 1965 Shelby Cobra replica built to be driven hard, put away wet, and scare the absolute hell out of your neighbors. It is a fiberglass fever dream packing modern fuel-injected heat, ready to tear a hole in the space-time continuum.
EXTERIOR
She is draped in a sinister dark metallic grey with silver racing stripes that scream down the hood like a bad decision at 2 AM. The paint has enough flake to catch the neon lights of whatever dive bar you park it outside of. You have got chrome side pipes ready to brand your calves if you aren't paying attention, and a single chrome roll hoop just in case gravity stops working. It is sitting on a set of chrome five-spoke wheels wrapped in BFGoodrich g-Force rubber that look like they have got plenty of meat left for your next burnout. The body lines are tight, the glass is minimal, and the chrome bullet mirror is just there so you can watch the cops shrink in the distance.
INTERIOR
Step over the hot pipes and drop into a cockpit that is strictly business and zero apologies. You are strapped into black bucket seats with Simpson racing harnesses because this snake bites. The dash is a flat expanse of black vinyl housing a full suite of vintage-style AutoMeter Cobra gauges ([AutoMeter Cobra Series Gauges - Vintage Style Meter Ships Direct](https://www.autoaccessoriesgarage.com/Gauges/AutoMeter-Cobra-Series-Gauges?srsltid=AfmBOorDIlSyLDIIlYGKVJ1J4D9u-dWOSuuzg-zhUrfhTomvbtz3_Aqg)), keeping you informed while you flirt with disaster. You get a wood-rimmed steering wheel to white-knuckle, a manual shifter begging to be slammed through the gears, and a red engine start button that might as well be a detonator. There is no radio, no cup holders, and no sound deadening—just you, the wind, and the mechanical symphony of violence.
UNDERCARRIAGE
We do not have the up-skirt shots to tell you exactly what kind of tubular witchcraft is holding this beast together, so you will have to use your imagination or come crawl under it yourself. What we can see through those chrome spokes are serious disc brakes with red calipers up front, ready to haul this lightweight missile down from triple digits. The side-exit exhaust is right there in plain sight, meaning the plumbing is short, loud, and completely unapologetic. If you want to know about the floor pans, bring a flashlight and a prayer.
ENGINE
Pop the hood and you aren't looking at some temperamental carbureted dinosaur. Nestled in that bay is a Ford 5.0-liter High Output V8, complete with electronic fuel injection, a legendary and reliable choice for these replica builds ([1965 Shelby Cobra Factory Five](https://www.vanguardmotorsales.com/vehicles/2126/1965-shelby-cobra-factory-five)). It is the classic Foxbody powerplant, meaning it fires up when you ask it to, idles like a champ, and delivers reliable, tire-shredding torque on demand. The engine bay is tidy, with the serpentine belt setup and modern alternator keeping the juice flowing. It is mated to a manual gearbox, putting you in absolute control of the chaos. This is turn-key adrenaline, pure and simple.
MODIFICATIONS
Being a replica, the whole damn car is a modification of Carroll Shelby's original fever dream. But specifically, you are looking at a modern Ford 5.0 HO EFI engine swap, AutoMeter instrumentation, and Simpson racing harnesses. It is rolling on aftermarket chrome five-spokes and modern BFGoodrich sticky rubber. It is built for the street, not the concourse, and it makes zero apologies for it.
